University Mods

Hi there, I am currently in the process of transferring all my Sims 2 stuff to my new website All Things Sims 2.

Right now my only goals are to just work and process on specifically mods for The Sims 2 but no new Sims 2 content will be added to this website. If you’re missing something from this site, please check there first as it might have already been transferred over.

 

Aging
1.) Uni- Aging– Playable sims age and grow up while living on campus (all except young adults). So if you have teens, children, adults or elders (all except YA’s) they will age 1 Sim day everyday. Customizable time to when aging happens.
2.) YA-move-out-of-college-Sims have more choices for when and how they move out of college. They can decide not to move out right away. They can do that any time, even as adults or elders. And when and if they move out, they can take other sims and pets with them and manage funds with maximum precision. Click on link to read full description.
3.) Uni-teens-stay-teens– Prevents the game from turning teens into young adults on university lots, other than dorms. This mod doesn’t change aging process (6 pm thing). Normally sims wouldn’t age on campus at all. If you’d like teens to age while living on campus, grab “Uni aging” mod.
4.) The Calendar – “Which day is it today ?”-This object allows you to know which day it is. Really useful in University.
5.) Extracted Inteen College Admissions– Here’s a mod that’ll restrict the college move-in interactions (phone and computer) to teens with less than 7 days until they turn into adults and a grade of at least C, as it was in Inteen

Classes, Finals and Grades
1.) No Finals at Night– If a final was scheduled to start between the hours of 9:00pm to 7:00am it will be rescheduled to begin at 8:00am. The appropriate number of hours will be added to the sim’s final timer.
2.) One-Hour Exam– This mod makes university final exams last one hour. The default is two hours.
3.) Harder Grades University– Harder Grades affects the amount the meter fills up for each assignment and, I think, college research. Harder Grades – Term Required – means your students have to complete a term paper in order to gain full marks.
4.) Faster University Education mod– Complete each semester in either 24, 36 or 48 hours.
5.) No Finals Warning– Suppresses the “finals in 5 hours” warning.
6.) Write Term Papers Faster– This mod makes writing term papers faster half the normal time.
7.) Fun Gain When Writing Term Paper– This mod allows sims to gain fun while writing their term paper.
8.) Fun Gain From College Assignment– This mod allows sims to gain fun while doing their college assignment.
9.) No Autonomous Research and Assignment– This mod is done by Mr Squinge to curb the autonomous behavior of the college students attempting to do college research or class assignments. The mod does allow the current playable Sims to do college research and class assignments.

Community Lots
1.) YA Visitors Outside Uni– Allows young adults to show up as visitors on community & downtown lots outside of the Uni neighborhood. Compatible with the Visitor Controller.
2.) Young Adult Shoppers– This mod allows young adults to shop at your business. The new mod prevents the hobby leaders from showing up in the vacation ‘hoods and are restricted to their own hobby lots, allows Young Adults to visit downtown lots as well as shopping on the businesses owned by your Sims and allows teens to stay later to about 12 AM and return after about 7 AM.
3.) Non-YAs on Uni Lots/No YA Checks For Lot Visitors-“Non-YAs on uni lots” allows sims who aren’t YAs (presumably from the main neighborhood/other subhood) to visit lots in the uni subhood, “YAs on non-uni lots” allows YAs to be visitors in the main neighborhood, “no YA checks for lot visitors” combines both mods. Conflicts with mods such as Squinge’s young adult shoppers mod or simler90′s lot visit mod (if this loads after simler90′s mod it should still use simler90′s criteria for determining what sims can be walkbys).

Dorms & Students
1.) Multi-key Dorm Doors– This is a really neat mod as it lets you have a locked door but lets other Sims you’d like to have in your room w/out inviting the whole dorm to join you. Read the details to this mod because you might want Cathair2005 from MTS Version Also check out House Mods for other similar door type mods.
2.) No Dorm Car Want Spam– Only available in the OFB or higher archive(s), but may work with NL as well (not tested). Stops sims living in dorms from wanting to buy a car
3.) Dormie Gender Controller– Allows you to control whether male or female dormies move into your dorm. Now also randomizes the dormie picked so you don’t always end up with the same ones.
4.) Uni-dorm-rooms– In dorms, the game reserves rooms only for specific ages of sims. Two versions only chose one.
5.) Stinky Dormies and Assignments Fix– Reduces the hygiene advertisement of doing Uni assignments so dormies are more likely to actually take a shower instead of doing another assignment.
6.) Students Move Away from the Portal– Forces returning Uni students to walk toward the mailbox instead of stopping right on top of the portal blocking access for everyone else
7.) Myne door allows multiple sims– Allow multiple Sims to share 1 door room and still keep it locked to keep out all those other dormies who like to walk into your room.
8.) Dorm Homework Guardian– This mod prevents unwanted visitors from using your sim’s dorm room to do their homework, provided that your sim has their own privacy door.
9.) Lunch Server Disposes of Unguarded Homework– The cafeteria worker, in addition to cleaning finished dishes will toss out assignments. They will wait till the assignment’s owner has left the room, though.

Fiances
1.) College Tuition and Loans– Each sim you wish to be responsible for paying tuition is given a token that tracks their college fund, their student loan debt, their tuition rate, and various other things
2.) Dorm Billing Fix– Fixes the divide-by-zero error that occurs on dorm lots when bills are delivered. Problem discovered as of NL, but the code is the same as pre-NL, so bug exists pre-NL, except it never occurs because pre-NL, dorms did not receive bills.
3.) Sims 2 University jobs enabled for teens– They work just like normal teen careers. They have three levels and teens and elders can find them in the newspaper or computer.
4.) Jobs in University ‘hood-Sims and pets can work while being in university ‘hood. The game processes jobs properly on University lots (for example, checks for being late) and shows you job-related notifications. 3 Versions, choose only 1.
5.) Young adults want and fear work– Young adults can have wishes and fears about work: find a job, go to work, get a promotion, etc. Scroll down to read which file to download.
6.) Let me check my schedule – Young adult’s job panel reveler– This is a hacked object that allows you to temporarily open student’s job panel that is normally replaced by major/classes panel. It comes in a bulletin board or dairy.

Fixes
1.) Young Adult Walk & Lazy Anims Fixes– Fixes the Young Adult walk style so they walk normally, not with a stick up their butt. Fixes the Lazy sim idle animations to remove the gorilla slouch as well as the ‘slow spin’ clothes changing routine.
2.) College YA Aging Fix-Fixes a bug that could cause the game to hang when sims are arriving at Uni in the taxi and attempting to age to young adult from teen.
3.) College Adjuster– This hacked object allows you to change various things related to University, plus some other random bits and goodies as described in link.
4.) No College Nagging– Removes the constant barrage of college messages that every single freaking teen has to go through.
5.) No University Aspiration Change– With this mod, the game doesn’t ask you if you want to change your Sim’s aspiration, right after they have finished their sophomore year.
6.) Dean’s List Memory Grammar Fix– This package fixes a grammar mistake in the “Made Dean’s List” University memory. Instead of reading “What a achievement…” it will now correctly read “What an achievement…”.
7.) Elevator Dormie Fix– This seems to fix the problem of unplayable dormies forgetting they are dormies if you install an elevator. I’ve been testing this for a few days and it seems to have fixed the problem.
8.) Larky’s Semester Tester – More Models And No OMSP Needed– Changes Larky’s mod from a giant apple to smaller objects like a stack of books.
9.) Maxis Match Majors – University Majors to Match all Maxis-Made Careers–  There are a total of 25 Maxis-Made careers created a University major for each one of them, each with the same title and icon as the career, so picking the right one is easy. For each major, they are cloned Maxis major that linked to the correct career. All my majors have unique GUID’s, and will not overwrite any other major in the game.

Graduation
1.) Conterfeit College Diploma– This is a simple tool object which enables users to upgrade adult sims who didn’t graduate college to be college graduates. Sims can get more want slots, college diplomas, jobs for college graduates, and also you can change major for sims who already graduated from college. This is a little outdated because you can use a few other bigger global tools but could be handy if you don’t want them.
2.) Graduation Party’s Clothing Mod (better dress code for grad parties)– This mod is an improvement for graduation parties and modify the way other sims will dress for the party.
3.) Graduate Instantly– Whilst there are processes that speed up uni, this one actually lets you graduate with all the memories from the semester you choose to graduate from and all the wants and perks of completing uni such as want unlocks. If you’re in semester 3, you won’t get memory and want of semester 2 because you’ll already have it.  You don’t have to be in uni to graduate. You can graduate straight from home (only if you haven’t completed a course) and you’ll get all the memory, wants and perks. However, if you graduate from home, be sure to set the honors and major othewise you’ll have no honors in philosophy by default.
4.) Get copy of Diploma– Lost your diploma or one of maxis’ infamous bugs have dealt damage to it claiming it belongs to somebody else who hasn’t even been to uni? Well, never fear because you can get a copy straight into your inventory. Because this goes into your inventory, you need NL or later for this option.
5.) College Diploma Replacement with automatic Campus Name and Custom Major detection– Have your diploma have your own custom University name in the title!

Greek Houses, Partying and Secret Societies
1.) UniBreakPatch.zip– Lets your Sims go on vacation while still in school and not be bothered by a thing called classes or finals
2.) No Secret Society Abductions– Sims are just quietly inducted into the Secret Society when eligible and are no longer abducted and taken to the SS lot.
3.) Uni-join-greek-fix– When your sim tries to join a Greek house that has under-aged residents, the game will only use teens or older sims in the scenario. Children, toddlers and babies will be ignored. If the Greek household only has kids (unlikely, but still), your sim will not be able to join it.

Majors
1.) Majors Made Easier–  This is new game object that allows you to select custom majors. It’s not meant to be a cheat object in any way: because the major select screen included in the University expansion pack is more or less hard coded by the game, this is a work around that lets you select custom majors without exiting the game.
2.) Maxis Match Majors – University Majors to Match all Maxis-Made Careers– More correctly applied careers to their majors. Plus a bonus OFB Major!
3.) Revised Majors– All the university majors have been revised so that they are actually relevant to careers. This package is different than Cyjon’s revised majors posted on Mod The Sims as this mod include the Seasons and Free Time careers.

Mascots
1.) Hide OFB mascot clothes & hats– Hide all of the OFB mascot clothing & hats. You will still be able to use all these clothes and hairstyles while assigning uniforms, but you won’t see them in CAS or when buying clothes. Also, townies should no longer be able to pick these clothes.

NPC’s
1.) Sentry Bots Shock Coaches– Self explanatory lol Handy mod for university coaches
2.) Evil Cow Mascot Trophy Head– A just for fun object that you can use to torture Uni cow mascots.
3.) No Meeting Professors– Stops sims from automatically meeting professors when going to class.
4.) More points for woohoo with professors– This mod gives the student 500 points instead of 100, so that guy/gal will have at least enough points to pass the exam without classes or homework.
5.) Smarter Choice of Parent for Cut Scene-Chooses the parent who the teen you send to college has the highest Lifetime relationship with gets to be in the cut scene.
6.) Meet Professor’s Fix– Fixes bug that occasionally causes university students to meet only one or neither professor.
7.) Professor Schmooze Fix– Fixes Drama professors so they can be schmoozed for better grades just like other professors.
8.) There Can Be Only One (Professor)– Game will generate one rather than two professors for each major. Gender will be random.
9.) No Alumni Walkbys– Prevents University NPCs (professors, cheerleaders, etc.) from continuing to walk by university housing after they’ve been moved into playable houses.
10.) No Visiting Professors– Prevents those creepy Art professors from stalking your dorms.
11.) The Llamarizor– Ever felt that there just wasn’t a strong enough llama presence in your sims game? Sure your sims had llama *things*, but they rarely got the chance to *be* llamas! In celebration of the relaunch of MTS2 as MYL2, here is a hacked painting that will give all your sims the chance to live their dreams!
12.) Sentrybots shock coaches– We all know that the best use for the sentrybot is at college, where it effectively removes the annoying cow mascot in an amusing way. But there’s another University NPC that I find incredibly annoying, the coach who shows up and berates your sims for being slightly chubby, and makes them cry. Surely any sentrybot worth its salt should also be driving this cruel NPC away as well!

Other
1.) Uni-school-bus– School bus picks up kids living on campus and delivers them to school (public or private) and back home.
2.) Streak While Fully Clothed– Sims will no longer get naked to streak but will still perform the streak animations. Will streak in what they are currently wearing.
3.) University Break– You’re trying to take your playable Uni students on an outing or vacation, but every time you try, you find one of them has just dashed off to class, or has a final coming up they mustn’t be too tired for! Now you can close the college down for a day – or even give them a long sabbatical – with this scaled-down version of the Wiseman, and the complementary patch. Simple menu: “Take a break” and “Back to work”. While in Break mode, the time to finals does not count down, and the students will not be called to class. But they can catch up on their assignments if they wish. If you like the statue as an ornament only, you can download it without the patch.

Pets
1.) Pets at University– This mod allows young adults and university residents to:

• Adopt cats and dogs from pet shelter
• Give them up for adoption
• Sell and give pets to playable young adults
• Buy pets in shops from pet displays
• Hire obedience trainer
• Have wants and fears about pets

Pregnacy & Adoption
1.) YA-pregnancy– Two versions. Be pregnant while in college. Check in link to see what known conflicts. YA can roll wants to have children while in school. What I really enjoy about the second mod is that it is possible to impregnate a playable female while on another lot. IE: Nina can get pregnant while woohooing at Don’s. The second mod extends outside of University.
2.) Maternity outfit fixed for young adults– With this fix, pregnant young adults will properly wear maternity outfits. Same as adults, students will get a full set of pregnancy clothes (maternity, undies, pajamas, swimming) by default, without having to buy them first. You won’t have to download meshes with preg morphs, fiddle with defaults, buy fitting clothes and assign them with mods. Although, you will be able to do all of that, if you want.
3.) YA-alien-pregnancy– Young adults may get pregnant after alien abduction.
4.) Uni-adoption– Young adults may roll wants to adopt children.

Scholarship Mods
1.) Alien Orphan Scholarship– Doesn’t consider the Polly Tech to be a parent so if their other parent dies, it lets Aliens be considered orphans.
2.) Cyjon’s Badge Scholarships-An update of jfade’s College Scholarships for Talent Badges for compatibility with Apartment Life. Update to add witchcraft scholarship. This new version requires Smarter EP Check. Any witch with the skill to cast Apello Cattus Amicus is eligible for this $1250 scholarship.
